Mauri ora!

Shibari, for me, is an invitation to slow down and feel deeply. It’s an opportunity to surrender to your breath, your tinana, the present moment, and to explore what happens when you allow yourself to be held in a safe, intentional way.

I’m drawn to shibari for the connection it creates and the artistic challenge. Between the artist and the subject, there’s a quiet dialogue of trust, consent, and attentiveness. My aim is always to offer a calm, respectful space where you can soften, let go, and be fully met where you are.

Sessions are offered as experiences in themselves, with the option to be photographed so you can take that moment home with you, not just as an image, but as a memory of how it felt in your body. I also offer shibari bookings as a rigger for photoshoots and creative projects.

What to expect

  • Floor-based ties only (no suspensions at this time)

  • A focus on safety, consent, and care

  • An unhurried, grounded atmosphere

  • Optional photography for personal use

What to Wear

Wear something that makes you feel comfortable, confident, and able to relax.

For shibari, simple and minimal tends to work best:

  • Yoga or fitted clothing

  • Soft fabrics

Session Length

Sessions typically last 60–90 minutes.

This allows time for:

  • Arrival and check-in

  • Discussion of boundaries, intentions, and consent

  • The shibari experience itself

  • Unrushed untying and aftercare

Longer or shorter sessions may be available by request, especially for photoshoots or creative projects.

Whether you’re experienced with rope or simply curious, shibari can be a deeply connecting and expressive experience. Each session is shaped together, with your comfort, boundaries, and sense of safety at the centre.
